![]() | WE 92pts. - WS 91pts. - WA 90pts. According to the Wine Enthusiast: Confident and self-assured, Torrione is a wine that transmits its essence without veils or tricks. Vibrant berry fruit, blue flower, mineral tones and bright crispness create a balanced ensemble and suggest a pairing with wild boar or rabbit. According to the Wine Spectator: Aromas of citrus rind, raspberry and freshly cut plum follow through to a full-bodied palate, with fine tannins and bright, fresh acidity on the finish. Lots of lively fruit. Sangiovese. Best after 2008. 3,300 cases made. It reveals gorgeous purity in its sweet, ripe fruit, with its signature plumpness beautifully balanced by finessed tannins. The wine offers superb depth and lovely density, both of which were elusive in 2005. Simply put, this is one of the finest wines of the vintage and readers won’t want to miss it.
